Unless SunGard availability services stops outsourcing nothing will change we will not get new customers. I listen to customers all day the fact that they can't get anybody on the service desk to talk to them you can't even email the service desk anymore you have to open up your own tickets and then they talked about customer service that's ridiculous how can a company not have a contact point for customers opening up your own tickets is ridiculous the customers that leave tell me the same things over and over again no customer service too hard to get somebody on the phone to get anything done I didn't even graduate college and I have a half a brain to understand that the CEOs making all the money how stupid is that seriously how hard is this

Oh my god .. I though only i felt this way .. SungardAS is slipping into oblivion, Customer care is too far down the list of priorities. Bottom line is all that matters , but where will that be without customers ?
No way .... customers LOVE when someone they’ve been working with for 10 years gets laid off and replaced with a fresher
Maybe outsourcing isn't THE problem, but it's certainly a problem. The remaining customers aren't going to stick around if we continue pointing them to India.
Outsourcing is not the problem, it's the only thing that's keeping whomever is left employed for however long. The problem is their irrelevant product portfolio. AS is stuck in the 90's and 00's. They were great at DR when it mattered, but never evolved, and now their DR doesn't matter (hasn't for years). They made a misguided attempt at buying their way into MS, and failed way before they outsourced to India. They made the biggest mistake trying to get into the cloud game on the cheap, and have been literally paying for it for years.
Either within the organization, or someone else's while seeking support for one of my own personal products, about 1 in 10 support personnel from India are competent. India is not known for quality. Not state-side, not anywhere.
But they sure are cheap!
