Are you asking for a head count or for people that actually produce? Two totally different numbers.

Liferdog, check the date !!!!
26,500? That seems high. I guess they are all busy working. Still seems very high but ok thats good.
Employees:
As of December 31, 2018, we employed approximately 26,500 employees, which is 9% and 12% lower than our workforce as of December 31, 2017 and 2016, respectively. In response to the price of crude oil and a lower level of exploration and production spending for the last three years, we have reduced our overall costs and workforce to better align with activity levels.
- See “Item 8. – Financial Statements and Supplementary Data – Note 5 – Restructuring Charges” for details on our workforce reductions. In addition, our workforce has been reduced as a result of the dispositions of certain businesses.
- Certain of our operations are subject to union contracts and these contracts cover approximately 17% of our employees. We believe we have a dedicated and capable workforce despite the significant headcount reductions over the past three years, which were necessary to adapt our Company to the market conditions.

It is close to 20k but they like to make the number higher so it makes them seem a bigger company then they are. This is what Weatherford is good at making numbers appear and disappear.
In our location about 10% do any work, the rest are just hangers on and chancers of which Weatherford is synonymous with. Obviously as in other locations the 90% are trying their hardest to get rid of the 10% during the current RIFs.
Not many. That amount of work performed is inversely proportional to your position in the company.
