Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Those in redeployment, are you even bothering to look for an internal job?

The current internal reqs seem scarce for my area and frankly I'm over it. If cuts were across all BUs, then it does make sense why there aren't and probably won't be any reqs in the near future. I could get some random semi related internal position easier with my skills, but it may not be what I want to do in my career. So I'm looking at this with the severance as a nice bonus for my next external job.

Yes, everyone eventually gets a bullseye on their back, for one reason or another, or eventually for turning 40. Remember back then when someone asked BK if you could have a (what was it called?) a career position at Intel where it was the only job you ever had and you worked until you decided to retire? And his reply was absolutely!
