"“Whatever you do in this world, you’ve got a responsibility and a privilege of doing it the very best way you can. And whether it is architecture or cooking or drama or music, the best is none too good for any of us.” "Irwin was also known for putting people first. He supported unionization in his company, and Redwine says he was made an honorary union member after his retirement. He also helped organize the March on Washington for the Civil Rights Movement. In 1967, Esquire proposed that Irwin even become President of the United States." .... Irwin J Miller. The contract offered a filtration plant was a spit in the face to Mr. Millers convictions. It was a move to trample the workforce, not include, uplift or inspire. This environment of devaluation of it's people has propagated since the mid-later 90's. It is intentional with the both it's product and human element. Very sad.

Welcome to Cummins management. They screw up, get promoted, screw up again, and then blame everyone else.. Just look at the millions spent on creating the Components structure and then dismantling it a few years later.. Or the installation of a new site in Turkey, only to shut it down a few years later. The list goes on and on.. Yet the same people get promoted year after year..
SLP is running legacy products, has been for several years. And they still run c-ap. All locations have warranty claims, but Mexicos is over stupid stuff on the simplest products and in greater numbers. Could be the reason for a c-ap contract, but why, just move it. Most likely, arrogance of either the local mgmt or upper coming down on the local. I think they're wanting to go to a performance based mgmt system.....a way to say, we f%@ke* up but are going to punish the employees following our management methods....MAKE it work or else.
More US Filtration production would be moving to Mexico and not just global production..
Just remember the comments made to Mexico News Daily, by Ignacio Garcia back in Oct 2019. He clearly stated more Filtration production would be moving to Mexico due to the USMCA.. He was not lying and this contract shows it.. For years the Filtration business was rumored to be on the market to be sold. Each time the executives would say it was not true.. Any bets on who was lying and what wasn't?
It's because we don't have executive and really people anymore that gives two sh–s about their fellow man or woman. Our society has turned int I've got mine, f— everybody else including their own family members.. But as I have said before we all live in a house and if everybody is looking out for themselves then who is looking out for the house aka the country.
I think in our nation we spent to much time being individuals and not enough time thinking about being a family of different people. Irwin J Miller didn't have to do what he did all those years ago he had it made at his birth essentially. He fought for workers and civil rights because he knew in the long term it would help the company and our nation. And now we have so many people dismantling it and they wonder why companies are having trouble and why our nation don't want to support workers unless they are making slave wages .
