Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

Imagine

Imagine if APA executives deferred their paycheck. Imagine how many jobs that would save in the second round of Project Ascend. Imagine the loyalty and morale they would build.

If you watch CEO video that is recorded on the PA site when this all started, he did state in the video that leadership would take a paycut. Someone prove me wrong.

I would 100% advocate for this. Frankly, I wouldn't be opposed if we all had to share in some pain on the upper bracket of our earnings if it meant keeping the company afloat, and preserving employment for people.

But, that would call for far too much personal responsibility an accountability for our executive team (who have navigated us into such a vulnerable position). And as already mentioned, they should really be looking at all the redundant and unnecessary senior management and executive positions we have now, and make us less top heavy, instead of further chipping away at the individual contributors.

Do we even need all of them?
Pretty top heavy and some of those roles are made up/should be Sr managers at best

That’s way too much of the right thing to do for them to be comfortable with.
