@2tkg+13XJZzOb There hasn't been a new Kmart opened in about 10-20 Years LOL! While there are old (closed) stores still listed on the website, the opposite is not true. There are no stores that are open, that are NOT on the website.

As you pointed out, Kmart.com is not up to date for stores that have closed during the last few years. It is also not up to date for stores that have opened during the last few years.

The stores have their own phone numbers, unit numbers (Kmart #4731, Sears #1114), separate point of sale terminals to ring up the product from that unit, yet there is "no such thing". Hilarious.

To troll poster below, ooooooooh, STFU about Brooklyn Kmart! There is no such thing! Kmart.com does NOT list any store in Brooklyn. While they have old, closed, stores still listed on their site, there are NO stores that are open, but not listed on their site. Every store mentioned in the above, master-list, is on Kmart.com. Brooklyn is not. It is just a Sears store that happens to sell a few Kmart items like boxes of cereal and bottles of mayonnaise. Walmart has some Arbys and White Castle products in their frozen aisles, but nobody considers Wally locations to also be WC or Arbys locations. Now stop trolling with this garbage, or you will have more downvotes than you Know what to do with. Enough is enough. That store is a SEARS not a Kmart. They just have a few cross-merchandised items. Even Kmart's own website does not consider it to be 1 of their locations. This is a list of Kmarts in NY. Many on their site are already closed, but conversely, there is no Kmart store that is OPEN that is not on this site:

Correct. No matter if the store is sharing the building with a Sears, Ace Hardware or a Wieboldt's. That Kmart makes 44 not closed or currently liquidating.

Oh, and as a follow-up to my last post about the Brooklyn Kmart: For your convenience, I'm posting a job link to that very store:

You're welcome. Happy to do the research for you.

Oopsie. With Minneapolis subtracted from the equation, it's actually 44 stores because that pesky Kmart within Sears in Brooklyn continues to operate. Thanks for your diligent, continued tally, nonetheless.

@Nonymous I guess the easiest way to find Closing Date is to call them. Their # is (612) 827-5491. You can call them when you get a chance, or I'll do it later and find out when they're closing. I would guess within 2 Months, as it doesn't take much longer than about 8 Weeks to empty out a store. My friends in MN inform me that it might be A Few Years before they finally open up that intersection though. At least the process is under way now, so COOL!

Not sure when starting. Quite possibly already did? Moot point, I guess, as they are moribund as of now. Here's my new map:

Do you know yet when liquidation begins? Usually these do not stretch out over 3.5 months.
