Every store except for grocery stores are shut down here. Yet, Bass Pro feels the need to stay open. They do not provide us hand sanitizer. They do not allow us to wash our hands every 10 minutes. I have a father who would die from this virus if I brought it home, but I have no choice but to work because I cannot afford to have zero income. This is incredible.

Our dear leader Morris' Wonders of Wildlife Museum is closed as of 3/18, but he doesn't care about the store employees? Found out today that our corporate is teleworking from home now, why the f— are WE still exposed to the public?

Same at cabelas, being all one now, Morris is an id–t. The gun counter and ammo Covid-19 incubator in our store. They keep sending trucks too. A whole additional path for infections, this stuff lives for 24 hours or more on cardboard and plastic surfaces, in fishing peak, people aren't buying that c-ap right now!!!! We're all hoping for a weekend closing or going omni/ISP only, like Hamburg PA and our competition. These customers are tourists not buying anything, hanging in herds at ammo.

NY bass pro made a small 'essential" area and said this is "enough" to be deemed an essential store

If the state you are in has mandatory shut downs call the governor and he will make sure the place gets shut down until they are told they can reopen. I also work at bass pro and we are still open in the warehouse. I make sure I stay away from people and wash my hands and sanitizer.

Driven by greed and that satanic club card. “Open and hour earlier for the elderly “ are you out of your old mind?! This store is not essential! But I guess making $ while putting your employees at risk is essential. I wouldn’t be surprised if Johnny is sitting in his big a– mansion laughing at the news as he swims around in his $ like Scrooge McDuck.

Been working for this greedy business for a few years. All they care about is $ and pushing that stupid “club card”. The furthest thing from a family business. It’s a shame that Johnny and his family sold their soul to make themselves stupid rich. I truly hope they learn a lesson by putting everyone’s lives on the line for the sake of greed. They are just plain stupid if they think their store is “essential”. Filthy b–tard

I work at bass pro and the mall next to us is closed. Management doesn't care for their outfitters, where is management? at home taking care of themselves not caring about us. We just have greedy people who think ammunition and firearms are the issue to the coronavirus. And then we have teenagers who are supposed to be at home, coming to the store and messing around, like jumping in the fish tank and making a mess. I wouldn't be surprised if there have been multiple people who are infected coming into the store. There are way more than 50 people in the store at a time, they don't bother having 6 feet distance, there is no hand sanitizer for outfitters or customers even though an email we received said there will be. And lastly, customers don't care, they cough amd sneeze without covering their mouth and then get mad at us when we make faces or step away. We don't have any essentials, management just wants us open for entertainment. Profits over people. Close the stores and take this serious!!!

You dont know the half of it. There are 20 or 30 customers at the gun counter most of the time waiting for their turn. They are standing just a few feet apart for hours not 6 feet as recommended by health officials.

These people wait at the counter with many of them coughing and sneezing way less than 6 ft from the salespersons.

The glass display cases are not sanitized nor are the computers that both staff and customers use to fill out the 4473.

Bass Pro is taking very few precautions to keep either the customers or the sales force as safe as they should be.

Under the inexcusable conditions it is just a matter of time before customers and staff will both fall ill.

This doesn't have to happen but it will. The inconsideraton for the safety of all is inexcusable!

The stores or at least the gun department should be shut down until health officials can get a handle on this viral threat!

I work in Hunting at Bass Pro and they could care less about the employees. We are so short handed that it is k–ling us. We have no safety precautions in place for us. We can’t even get hand sanitizer. We are sitting with hundreds of people everyday buying guns, coughing and sneezing all over. All BPS cares about is the money coming in. Close the stores Johnny !! You are going to see lawsuits when your employees start getting sick !!

I haven't worked at Bass Pro for very long. Since November. When I first started I thought it was great, one of the best corporations out there, really caring for their employees. When in reality, they couldn't care less. My coworkers have to bring in their own cleaning supplies. I'm ashamed to work for such a selfish man. In the face of this global crisis. Instead of lowering hours, they choose to stay open for an additional one because "essentials." It's sickening.

BPS stores closed early today for bad weather, not Corona prevention. The store does not plan on closing, they are selling all Guns and Ammo. Hope the government takes care of this soon.

The company as a whole is a joke! “Family oriented business” my a–! We are connected to a mall-which by the way is close, and we are expected to stay open and extend hours? Yeah sure, let’s make that all night dollar for someone who clearly doesn’t give a shut about us. If the “family” doesn’t make you money you are of no value, it’s disappointing to work at a place that is so hypocritical...I have no interest staying with a company that only cares about the bottom line...

To the guy talking down on the workers, you do understand that we put our lives on the line in this situation right? That if it wasn’t for us actually working you wouldn’t be able to buy your items? Before you bring politics into a global pandemic conversation understand that we have to be at our stores to help the people that are risky enough to come out. We deal with thousands of people in a single day and are exposed to this virus. Don’t you dare say we want to be off. We’re very concerned about the health of our customers and ourselves making it a difficult situation to even be around so many people. Think before you speak next time.
Sincerely,
NY

Anyone contact the government? Ask why they haven't closed? Bass / cabelas is a nonessential business. They contribute nothing to the end of the virus. They are contributing to the spread possibly deaths due to it and contact. Sad when a greedy old man and son can treat people like trash. Remember the store after and never shop their again.

To all you guys above stating all the virus is just a basic flu and calling everyone out for panicking are selfish and you are the ones who are narrow minded. Do you not realize that people have died from this virus all over the world. Sure keep Bass Pro open gives us a check still but for what? The potential cost of your life? I know we need to make a living but don't condemn people for wanting the store to be shut down to help fight it. This virus is real and Bass pro needs to realize that. I wish all my fellow Bass Pro employees the best of health to you and your families.

I work at Bass Pro Shop. Starting today they are closing at 6pm instead of 9pm. What difference does that make? That's the slowest part of the day. I'm on vacation now and have been staying home but I'm hoping the boss man will come to their scenes before I go back Tuesday. Not counting on it. Bottom line baby.

This company and its owner aren’t being responsible by remaining open when we have all been told to remain at home and not be out except for necessities. Last I checked sporting goods aren’t necessities. Leave the stores open id–ts will come. Its unsafe for us , our families and everyone that we come in contact with. These people that would consider shopping at a sporting goods store during a national health emergency worry me about the number of people they have come into contact with as many have shared that everyone has to die of something. The intelligence is missing from anyone who makes such a statement.

I work at Cabela's and none of my co-workers feel safe working right now. It's crazy busy and people come in to hang out since they are bored at home. None of them really need any of the stuff they buy. There is no attempt to create a safe distance between people to protect employees and customers. On the contrary, we are constantly told to talk to every customer. It's very hypocritical for them to constantly say they care about their employees and customers and then put profit before everything else in this situation.

Basic cleaning supplies would be a great help. I was given one Clorox wipe to clean my desk , file cabinets and computer. I’m willing to work but not in an unsanitary situation.
