Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

For the people by the people

This great country was built on this basic principal and it was reflected in all works of life including business. The power has slowly moved away from the people and we are living with the result of too much power at the top. Decisions become erratic and short term benefiting just a few. Human life becomes dispensable. General care for each otherS well being fades and division is sowed.

There has to be a rebalance of power between both sides.

Corporate America says nobody cares anymore. They claim there is no point in developing loyalty as things change too quickly. The new mantra is make the money while you can and exit the market on a golden parachute while it crashes down upon those left behind. HyVee was still operating in that employee inspired, family-like model that other retailers like Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and CVS worked diligently to disempower and dismantle. Control, uniform product, position the company for sale, take-over, or leveraged buyout, and then exit with a golden parachute. Sad to see HyVee become this; however, they just now joined the ranks of all the other once glorious retail companies people were proud of.
