Internal Sabotage?

I’m a 15 year banker at another big US Bank. My question is simple but complex. Do you think big banks would sabotage their own branches in an effort to go online, reduce expenses, and look for reasons to lay-off honest branch employees?

Possible. But there is an added risk in this threat model. You can get more ire from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Got to aim the threat "equally"

is it really sabotage? maybe to money grubber CEOs and the lap dogs, it’s just adding efficiencies, easing the customer experience, keeping up with consumer behaviors and preferences, and cutting costs. If you can click your way through opening an account and condense the size of your branches, why wouldnt you when your an evil corporate overlord??!??!??

Work for a top bank for 15 years also in IT project management. To answer your question, no. No need to sabotage anything. If they want to shut down a branch, they'll just do it.
