Unfortunately out of CTF, Florida has the worst luck. Your contract was not renegotiated for the very reason FTR would file bankruptcy and will be allowed to give a 90 day notice to all employees if they do decide to let go. Wish all you guys the best on future endeavors. If your set on staying in craft you may want to look into having priority in transferring anywhere in the company based the circumstances. Texas and California recently lost 100’s of craft technicians due to retirement. And there will be multiple openings coming out soon.

I guess we will all see in the next few weeks whats going to happen. Its bigger than any of us or any union. I just hope that we are able to keep our job, but who knows how much they will try to blame this all on our wages, and not that they tried to get too big, and couldnt manage the business.
Congrats, liberating isn’t it? You just gave yourself something that the Union couldn’t (after factoring in skyrocketing healthcare costs)....A RAISE !!!!
I am proudly no longer a due paying union member! This feeling is long overdue. I am ready for the union to just walk. There will be a company and plenty of work after the dust settles with Frontier, I will gladly work in a union-free environment knowing my coworkers all want to work hard to achieve similar goals and merit rather than wait for the time to come around and see everyone get a piece of the pie when only 1/2 deserve it and earned it. Feels good now that I have an extra couple thousand in the bank for my safety net while I hear people around me whining about rumors of contractors. The stewards try the cold shoulder with me because I turned my back after years of incompetence-this is probably the most relieving feeling ever its like changing your phone number to dismiss the annoying ex! Good luck everybody, I am proof the sun still rises on the other side! They keep trying to block me when I post (proof the union is trying to control the information and news you receive, draw your own conclusions)
Well luckily IBEW is very experienced in giving things away to the company.
Everyone needs to calm down. Frontier is too big of a company for the government to let fail. No one is going to lose their jobs. Keep doing your best and concentrate on the ACS surveys. This is the best way to show the company that Florida is the best. Keep up the great work. I’m proud of all of you!
We are all toast, unless you are in those states that have been sold, what future do we have? If any of us are left with a job, it will come with reduced wages, and whatever else they want to take away from us. Hopefully this process takes a while and we can all get out.
Correction### Basement of the Central Office (around 20 employees)
FIRE YOU ALL. WAIST OF RESOURCES. START OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
Why don't all you trolls go do something productive, rather than try to spin up your enemies?
Martinsburg WV has people sitting in the basement doing nothing making 30 dollars an hour. The irony is that some of techs who actually work will be let go because they have less seniority.
One of em has been arrested six times in FL.
Frontier continues to emotionally sodomize it’s employees through the use of convicted felons in management. Look up the police/arrest records for some of your supervisors.
Hard to be positive when every other day you are harassed by management when doing your job.
As for the "negotiations" and the proposals in Florida that have been or are on the table its a big joke. NO ONE on the negotiation committee is saying anything to anyone its all hush hush BS. It's been a year! Do your job while we all still have one!!
Filling vacancies is another joke. The old timers are retiring like people jumping from a sinking ship. Which is good for them! Good luck and enjoy your retirement! For the rest of us still here this is where the company does what it wants regardless of how the bidding process has worked for years. All that the leadership at 824 is saying is thats how the company wants to do it. Sorry. Good luck.
Not looking good in the near future for ANYONE especially with the bankruptcy rumors, current stock prices and upper managements inability to manage.
See you in the cheese line!
Hmmm.... pay $25/hr for union employees to answer billing calls in Tampa...OR..... pay $15/hr for non-union employees to do the same job an hour and a half away in Deland. Do the math.
Folks, nobody is going to lose their job. We are negotiating with the Union and we hope to have an agreement soon. In the meantime, folks just need to be positive. Another way to help is to improve your ACS scores. This will help the center and you. Folks have to believe.
They can’t find people to fill the vacancies now. Frontier can’t afford to get rid of anyone. Maybe we can get rid of the useless dispatch and the call center but that’s about it.
Pererras cheese toast?
