I was told my position was being eliminated after a nearly 30 year career. I was then offered a part time stocking position which my store director knew I could not accept as it would not pay the bills or give me insurance for my family but would let him off the hook for severance pay. This is how HyVee is saving money— kicking long term employees to the curb to get rid of paying higher wages and insurance!
