This is a typo.
Pretty scary though.
My guess layoffs are imminent by the end of March. Once they blow through the remainder of the loan on buybacks and dividends. They should have halted buybacks and dividend instead of freezing hiring.
The article was corrected before my very eyes.
Article currently states, "The company is not laying off workers at this time, a Boeing official told CNBC." Key word being "not". Unsure if that is a correction to an earlier article.
