Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Hidden Office “Layoffs” & the hits keep coming!

A few years ago over 200 corporate employees were demoted or even terminated, those left took drastic pay cuts. They expect 60 hour work weeks, extra projects with no exchange for pay or even a simple thank you. My heart breaks for the people left at corporate who try to follow HyVees fundamentals- first off being Honesty. Because those without a spine who just do as they are told, will not defend their very valuable employees.
My heart breaks for all the great employees still loosing their jobs or pay- undeservingly!!!

My advise would be to jump off the ship, let it burn but don’t let it take you with them. Everyone deserves to be respected and treated with Respect, Honesty, Dignity, Kindness and most of all be told the truth.

I was told my position was being eliminated after a nearly 30 year career. I was then offered a part time stocking position which my store director knew I could not accept as it would not pay the bills or give me insurance for my family but would let him off the hook for severance pay. This is how HyVee is saving money— kicking long term employees to the curb to get rid of paying higher wages and insurance!

A few years ago they had to make sure only the ‘yes’ men were left in the office. All others had to go.

I got my hours cut and was told I wouldn't really notice 10hrs of missing OT

I was one that was let go after almost 27 years of service. I was a dedicated employee. I no long love this company cause we were let go with no severance pay and no thank of any kind. The store director was cold and heartless the day he told me. I have not stepped into a Hy-Vee since this happened.
