Our store throws HUNDREDS of these things away every month. Boxes upon boxes! How much money is being wasted on this???

Store director has ability to set store numbers for seasons magazines... this is fact.
My personal favorites are the 1/2 sheet slicks that are placed at the registers as bag stuffers...........AFTER customer is done shopping. 2 day fuel saver deals. Wasteful
We throw away pallets of these magazines also at our store, but when questioning it years ago was told by so called management, that not a dime comes out of Hy-vee''s pockets for those. ...it's all paid for by the parent companies of the products featured in each issue.
Yeah right, we were told just 2 weeks ago there would be no change's in staffing at our store... as of today, 7 full time, good people have been let go.
Please, everyone, get this out to your local media what is going on....the execs need to come clean, and if enough news organizations start asking a lot of questions, they will have to answer, albeit still lies of course
They are placed at MINIMUM at 20 touchpoints around the store and we still throw them out. GTFOH
We had them everywhere in the store. Every check out lane. Every demo stand. Gas station. By the ads in the front door. They sent us 30,000 mags one month.
Stores control the number of these magazines... and if you don’t hide them people actually love those things.... get over yourselves.
We would throw away pallets of those dumb magazine. We told cooperate about the stock piles we throw out. They don’t care. In fact they just sent us more for are complaint
