The figure of 1% of their employees downsized simply cannot be correct. If they have 85,000 employees in 8 states, that would impact 850 people. But the fulfillment centers alone is almost 1000 people! That doesn't count the approx 180 dietitians let go, plus the department people whose positions were eliminated. I don't like how the company seems to blame the employee for not accepting alternative employment - some locations up to two hours away. Also, the offers were for part time employment with no benefits. Thank you WHO-TV for trying to dig deeper. Hy-Vee is not being truthful.
