Thread regarding JetBlue Airways Corp. layoffs

Are we ever going to be paid what we’re truly worth?

I started working here knowing that this is the lowest paying airline, but I honestly thought that was in reference to people who were just starting out. Well, let me tell you something, I’ve been here for six years and the one thing that never changed is the fact that I am underpaid.

But that’s not all. I’ve noticed that those people who have clawed their way to a somewhat decent pay through seniority and hard work only get to enjoy it for a short while. It’s like once you are over a certain number, there’s a target on your back and you can expect to be gone within a year.

Talk about a great incentive not to complain about low pay.

I hate to say it but you said it but what you see is what you get. Unless your willing to replace your time (extra hours working) with money (same low hourly rate), things won’t change. Jetblue thinks about operation and costs first, and your Pay has to stay in a certain range to make profit. They figure you know what you signed up for.
