Neither. This time it'll be worse. In past cycles rising demand eventually moderated the supply and eventually prices. This time it's high production with falling demand. Add to that a weak balance sheet. Not a good combo.
wow, what a devastating day for the oil industry, especially the US shale players. Devon basically becoming a penny stock. The Saudis will try and bring Putin, and US players to its knees, and will succeed either by the Russians agreeing to play ball with OPEC+ or the US shale industry collapsing. Once again, great play by DH to put the company's eggs all in one capital intensive, and high decline assets basket.
If Devon goes bankrupt.. it's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! You stole fizzy lifting drinks! You bumped into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!
