I used to love this company. I have worked in many stores in many different roles, transferred states and worked many long days and night giving everything i had. One thing these recent changes have showed me is that the only thing Randy Edeker cares about is himself. No longer will i care about how my actons during the day affect the profitability of this company. I will milk everything i can, even if it means purposely staying 5 minutes late each day or throwing damage away when i could have easily pulled a dent out of something. I do not care about hy-vee anymore.

Fareway is always hiring.
I keep hearing about this survey but haven't received notice in the mail yet. Is it truly anonymous? What is a WARN letter?
Is anyone looking into a lawsuit? They are saying they are positioning the company for how people shop now. Isn’t that what they are paid to do? It’s their job to predict the future and have to company ready for it! All those videos at service awards night telling us how stable and mighty Hy-Vee is. Baloney! 18 years and I was taken from a department head to a grocery stocker the week before they fired me!

This is all a scam to save money! Everyone is afraid they are going to be the next one to receive a salary reduction, lay-off, or be "reallocated" to an undesirable shift. what kind of quality of life is this. Also, any chance anyone had for advancement is gone. There are no more manager of's. Now only a store director, and maybe one or two assistant directors. You will only get in the club if you think like them.
My husband has 40 years in and a month ago he received a letter congratulating him on going onto the Wall of Fame at corporate and yesterday he gets told effective May 6th he doesn't have a job. Received a survey and a WARN letter in the mail all in the same day. It just doesn't make sense.
Me too—35 year’s of my life flushed down the toilet.
Yup i was let go. Because they wanted to replace me with part time help. 20 years with the company
