Transferring/cutting positions in the Urbandale, IA customer service/sales support/3pl support center. People are being told they are moving the positions to Kansas City home office. Those in the roles are being told they are converting to customer service. No word on pay difference. Not sure how this is going to work with souix falls center that does customer service too....

Reddaway customer service is being brought back from overseas and will be here. Not sure about the bldg lease situation. Ppl on furlogh will be offered customer service jobs for Reddawsy first. There is a push to move anyone not in customer service out of here ( now done ) because since sales continued to get new chairs, tvs, more compensation etc. It created bitterness between the departments.
I worked for Urbandale Local Sales Support and was 1 of the 40 employees that were furloughed on 3/31/20. 7 people who accepted to relocate their jobs to Overland Park kept their jobs. Was told a month ago the lease on the building was up i believe in October so it all makes sense now. This was the worst company ive ever worked for and i look forward to collecting unemployment and enjoy my spring/summer once all this coronavirus sh– is over.
Urbandale center will be shuttered
Customer service was never expanding in Urbandale - the entire sales support team was being dissolved, and people were given an option to apply for customer service work. Doesn't matter now because YRC has furloughed that entire department (except for 5 people who are going to Overland Park) as well as many from customer service. Will they be brought back? Unlikely. The lease for the building is up in a few months, and there is room at the terminal for the remaining few employees.
YRCW stock is at 1.61 a share too much debt ride this wave until they go out of business.
Correct, if they are expanding customer service in Urbandale by converting other depts. then they need to add on to managers. My question is what does this mean for the other customer service site in South Dakota...because overall business hasn't picked up enough to justify expansion i woudl think?
Odd, in the last week YRCW posted two job openings in Urbandale, IA. for Supv-Customer Service and Director-Customer Service.
