The employees were eventually going to get F&*C( over anyways with the merger. Combined income and employment numbers didn't make sense so it was pretty obvious.
Might as well let it happen now, and then blame the coronavirus. Or, they could play the game they've done in the past to skirt the federal layoff rules....put everyone on furlough for an indeterminate time. Make it hurt so much that they have to quit and RayTech won't have to pay any benefits.
