Thread regarding Air Canada layoffs

I hope I get laid off

Working at Air Canada means you can kiss work/life balance goodby. Honestly, the amount of overtime I'm expected to put in every month is ridiculous. As if it's not enough that we miss most holidays and personal days as it is. No, we have to have our uniform and suitcase on us all the time just in case they need us on our day off - which happens more often than you'd think.

And the saddest part is that we don't get paid for a good chunk of that extra time. So yes, if there are layoffs, I hope my name is on that list. I'll be happy to leave this place.

Every job has its frustrating parts, but the only thing worse than having a job, is not having a job.

Why wait get cut when you could resign? You chose the life dear. No one’s forcing you to stay. They don’t need more grumpy cabin crew.
