RIP Steven Tusa's Predictions

I'm sure we are all very disappointed.

(Bloomberg) – General Electric Co. is gaining some favor over its top skeptic in Wall Street, who cited a better-than-expected performance last year.

JPMorgan’s Stephen Tusa upgraded the shares to neutral from a sell-equivalent rating, citing 2019’s free cash flow that topped his predictions as well as an improved outlook for 2020. The analyst has held an underweight stance on the stock since April.

“We were wrong,” Tusa said, noting that GE shares have outperformed the sector by 11% since that call.

Tusa should have stuck to his $5 a little longer and looked like a genius again.

Since Tusa's update, it seems like GE's price has been dropping more than what can be attributed to downward pressure from COVID-19 trading. I saw GE go up one day while the Dow was down before the Tusa report, but GE racked up a couple 7% drops in the days after Tusa's report when the Dow dropped around 3% or so. Did the report's new target price of only $8 (up from $5 but not $12 or more) have more impact than it appears? I dunno.

There's an easy way to tell if some investor is too down on GE. We talk about him. Simple.

The Market is due for a major correction. When that happens, GE stock is sure to drop to some degree. Then when the Market stages a recovery, I am all in. Patience is Golden. Besides, it's an election year. Volatility is almost sure to happen.

They were wrong until everyone buys into the sentiment and they sell off their interests. The only reason they’d switch their stance with sketchy accounting at best is to get out while others buy up and sell for profit. Same as all the other banks.
