Not everyone in Wilsonville was even close to retirement age. Seems enough 20 - 50-year-olds were required to cover any claim of age discrimination.
Marketing PDX dropped a number of "older" expensive employees close to retirement, they are getting ready to sell, from what heard moral is low and looks possible to more out this summer or fall.
Curious if the lay offs were all people 60+ years of age....?
Selling the company, polishing up the bottom line, reducing the biggest expense of a company, headcount, and selling off.
A number of longtime employees were let go in Nashua, NH as well. ~150 total
Elsewhere as well. Mostly senior employees
Yes 15 that I know of in Goleta yesterday
A small tightening of workforce happened at FLIR in Goleta yesterday due to management decisions. Typical in this industry and non eventful but surprising as always to those affected by it.
