Unfortunately where I work in Scotland they have got rid of some of the genuinely good people in senior management and the ones that are left seem to be the cyborgs. The type that will be saying 'yes sir' 'no sir' for the rest of their working lives. Pathetic. The thinkers and creatives are gone and it was very sudden with no prior warning. We were all told, by the unfired cyborgs of course, it was due to 'cost cutting'. And their clone mindset was unable to produce anything but robotic excuses about 'we as a company are too expensive'. Exterminate Exterminate.
In Scotland, DST/SS&C does outsource work for another very strong financial service provider in the UK which is on an upward trajectory. It is very bizarre being part of the struggling outsource company getting rid of brilliant staff and reducing the morale of the average worker to minus zero. It was already bad enough. Clearly the management do not tell the client company the truth. I know that the client company's ethos is a million miles away from DST/SS&C ethos, that's for sure. That's probably because the client company actually has educated and ethical people in its top ranks, whereas DST/SS&C seems to be full of uneducated and nepotistic zombies, incapable of honourable thought or altruistic deed.
About a year ago, they got rid of most of the very experienced staff and there was literally a mass exodus. Nobody seemed to care about the galactic-sized hole of wisdom and experience that had just walked out the door. This was because they had just migrated to a brand new system that was designed to make everything oh-so efficient, removing the need for experienced people. This was so they could rely on the local population of disaffected youth to come in and process. And true to this, the place is now overrun by those in the 18-24 demographic who have nothing more important to think about than how much petrol to put in their car for the coming week and what Mummy is cooking for dinner. Whereas the educated people who actually had a career have left, or the very few that have hung on have done so in the hope of some miracle of change.
Unfortunately, the place is so overrun by cyborgs now and the nasty cull mentality of cost reduction that redemption is no longer possible.
Everybody I know hates the place and the cyborgs apparently don't have a clue, probably because they lack human feeling or any modicum of natural human interaction that would, under normal circumstances, inform them that nobody actually likes them and they are a horrible person. However, in the current climate of the tyranny of the automatons, this simple observation seems to have escaped them, and they continue to work under the massive delusion that they are actually liked and respected. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Yet it seems that nothing will awaken the zombies to the truth, despite people barely being able to hide how much they despise the team management and their actual jobs. The cyborgs continue to send their stats further up the chain and accepting the pats on the back that make them work the stats a bit faster each day, no matter how many people continue to leave and die a little more in their soul each day.
Who exactly will be doing the PM role for change?? Bill Stone will drop DST when he realises 40% is not achievable and that will be when we're left with a skeleton staff that can't cope.

Looks like he got hoodwinked as this is nothing but a scorched earth tactic and DST UK is now sinking fast
One bonus of this news is that it may be the end of PIM :)
What clients are going to stay now. The shares will be dropping like a Bill Stone.
