Anyone else find it odd that even in places like Kansas City the local media has yet to really say anything regarding this? Just remember the last major one a couple years ago they were all over it day of. Sounds like Stoneman is trying to keep this hush hush. So much for being transparent as looks like they are sticking to DST's old ways of not warning anyone in advance. Didn't see anything mentioned anywhere in places where SSNC does business in the state's WARN notices.

I think the Healthcare jobs are going to be the first to go.
I'd like to know who DST / SS&C? - whoever - has bought at the KC Star to keep this quiet. Never hear a peep of bad news about them. That place s—ed, and anyone who got laid off should consider themselves lucky, tho it may not seem like it right now. I quit in 2012, and ended up with the same basic job - and 22K more per year - at a different company within 4 months. Never worked at such a cliquish place.. miserable workplace.
Maybe that's why the layoffs or 'workforce reductions' are being done in spurts...so they don't have to report it to the media
DST used to be a big player in Kansas City...local leadership, high number of local associates, and corporate partnerships in the community...not anymore.
Don’t worry they will cut the next 3% in April. And then again in June. And again.
Btw, the economy is crashing as we speak. Ss&c stock price keeps going down, so layoffs will keep happening until there is no one left.
How many impacted
That's bull though. They still need to post to the states Warn report site if they are going to be doing ANY kind of layoffs in that state. I have never trusted DST and wouldnt trust the new owners either. As far as that about the media I dont believe that as Cerner for example as big as they are fairly recently had some smallish cuts in November. They didnt seem like that much in the grand scheme of things in terms of their overall size as in our area as was just around 200 yet they reported that on all the major local news websites and all. The overall cuts of theirs seemed like DSTs/SSNCs. Just saying. Those still staying treat this as a wake up call. If you havent got the hint yet that they could care less about loyalty or what you've done.
They HAVE to release it to the media if it is 6% of staff or more (maybe 5%). I am hearing that this was only 3% so although that was a lot of people, it was not enough for media attention.
