126 stores, since since the Home & Life, Appliance, and Appliance & Mattress stores can't be considered "full-line".
Pinky swear?
There will be no further closings this year. 133 FL Sears and Kmarts. They're all starting put. Each one.
More Sears Hometowns closing in April. Here is one of them

No, this is purely speculation (since that seems to be the purpose of this thread, anyway)
Even after all of the closings, there are several places where a Sears and a Kmart are both still open within 2 miles of each other:
Key West, Florida (nearly across the street)
White Plains, New York
Long Beach, California
Whoever posted that reply predicting reopening of stores sounds more and more like Aylwin Lewis, the windbag that Eddie appointed CEO of K Mart and then Sears Holdings after the merger.
He predicted alot of things about the company as well, which never came to fruition and Eddie kicked him to the curb.
One of Eddie's many big screwups was hiring Aylwin Lewis as CEO.....as Aylwin's background was in the food service business.
Aylwin's background was being in charge of companies involved in flipping burgers on a grill.
Aylwin had no clue in how to run an apparel and hardlines business and the big final plunge of Sears Holdings began under his leadership until Eddie finally admitted that Aylwin was in way over his head.
No. Kmart and Sears are going to expand and grow. 83 will open in 2020. Another 100 inn 2021 then 125 per year after that. In approx 40 years there will be 4K stores again. At age 98, Eddie Lampert will be back where he started when he merged Kmart with Sears.
The OP must not be very top notch nor very bright if he/she cannot figure out the answer by now based on Eddie's track record thus far.
OP keeps coming back and asking the same question over and over with some snarky sarcastic tone.
The answer to your question is quite obvious.
I'm going to bet on Fort Lauderdale (FL) Sears and Hyannis (MA) Kmart, both of which sit on property where the landlords have redevelopment plans ready to go.
