Just announced, Sears is dropping L&G.....
This is probably the final straw!

My post was less about the branding than the Sears L&G disappearing from stores for one reason or another.
That's a lot of Sears branding disappearing from the landscape. May be worth a separate post.
Sears Outlet (which was sold to Liberty Tax) has dropped Lawn & Garden and tools and is going to rebrand to its now sister brand American Freight.

@1xeb+13F1QZgW I’d start looking for another job.
That's actually a great analogy @2ixj+13F1QZgW . They seem really desperate to pretend that things that are gone are still here. Wonder who in their life it is whose death they're so desperate to deny?
I'm one of the few stores where lawn and garden is not combined with HI, and I currently make $20+ an hour as a commissioned L&G associate. What will happen to my position?
Newsflash. Layoffs can occur without a closing. Internal communications are not linkable in all cases.
False!!!! Lots of reel mowers and electric lawn mowers!!! Exactly what the consumers want!
And how are Hi associates supposed to make money?? This ain’t right.
Most kmarts have no garden shop any more. Ours has been cleared out since before Halloween and is now our new fixture area.
Via email from corporate to stores?
What a loss :)
Is Kmart dropping this product line as well?
OP, I agree. This is the final straw. Sears is not the destination store.
Yeah, the DieHard lawn & garden product launch was announced May 2019. Guess it is "go to the mattresses" (and appliances) from here.
I guess Diehard mowers will never arrive lol
Lawn & Garden
The lawn and garden department? Or LG appliances?
