Thread regarding Alliance Data Systems Corp. layoffs

They set you up for failure

You can't win either way. They set you up for failure. If an account is eligible for a late fee credit, they should get it. This "negotiation" thing is a bunch of malarky. The customer is not happy with the 15.00 credit so then you get the bad survey. Either way, you're screwed. Too many late fee credits, negotiation rate too low, red alerts. It all ties in together and we are the ones who get screwed. When I walk in that building everyday, I feel like I'm entering a torture chamber. And yes, I am making plans to leave, just like everyone else I know. And oh, I am so sick of being b–ched out about the IVR, I cannot even express it. But, oh, that's my fault, too. I should be able to de-escalate that. Lmao.

@1jda+13xHeADQ hits the nail on the head in this post!

Studies have concluded that these "surveys", are everything BUT. A measurement of how an employee is doing.
They just do that as politics to get rid of folks
They dont want to pay for benefits etc
They love young kids just like Victoria secret does so they can use an abuse
You .
westerville failed to even provide TOILET PAPER NOR SOAP to their employees.

It does seem impossible to manage sometimes. You feel like you always have to fight to prove you're a good associate. Their metrics contradict each other and their appeal process for surveys is asinine.

And, btw, I've worked here since before you were born. Give that a thought or two.

Actually McDonalds treats folks better
Their comprehensiveness package is much better than ads
They also treat their employees better versus ads who exploits their customers and employees.

To the two replies, perhaps you shouldn't be working here since you appear to have a reading comprehension problem. The whole post was about metrics. The de-escalation comment was referring to the pos ivr and how mad people are about it by the time they reach a rep. So you are rah rah alliance, good for you. Get your boarding pass ready, cuz we're all at of here soon. Dang, they need to give a reading 101 class before they hire you. Lol

If you can't de-escalate a customer who received a late fee because they didn't pay their minimum due by their due date you probably shouldn't be working at a call center for a credit card company. Those are not pleasant calls and none of us enjoy them but they are a large part of the job. If everything was enjoyable it would be a hobby and not a job so they wouldn't have to pay us to do it. If you know of any job that pays this well and that is 100% enjoyable please let us know so we can all apply.

When you applied for the job did you really think you would only be talking to happy customers all day?
