I am in management at Textron Aviation and there has been no talk about furloughs. They are talking about doing a 1 week shutdown in April instead of July this year due to how slow it is at this time. All the production lines are expected to be up and running at full capacity by the first May.

Just wait and watch its posted that may layoffs will happen in March but furlough was faster without pay but just watch layoffs will come after the furloughs. Textron thinks we are better than anything but treat employees like c-ap . Lies all lies but yet they talk about ONE TEAM Honesty integrity they company needs to practice what it preaches.
Just all about money . There's no sanitizing. Big big talk about the virus and management has all the wipes and hand sanitizer spray in there office nothing being cleaned and when brought up boss gets mad kicks bathroom door says fine I'll put it out . Really?? And this is the company caring about its employees NOT. Then furloughs not paid . For real, they say in times like this watch closely and you really find out what employees mean to the company . We ain't sh–.
Probaby no talks of furlough at the time because the focus was how many to can, 499 or less. ;)
I also work for Textron Aviation and know for a fact you were lied to. Textron is not a credible company and does not live by their new culture.
Able Aerospace Services (a subsidiary in AZ) has laid off a dozen people in the last month.
How about layoffs and furloughs now with Covid-19 as part of the mix? What is Textron doing for sanitation of planes they work on to protect employees?

Just inform of partial truths and omit critical details...all that in your face with a big smile. Then, you get blindsided with reality when c-ap goes down.
I was going to say how is production going to be in full swing by the first of may when its going to take longer than that to repair the autoclave that exploded this past december? Not to mention how textron is tanking in the red in the stock market right now?
