What’s next on the laundry list of newly promoted/hired Vice Presidents? We attend meetings all the time where operations keeps telling us to NOT get wrapped up in all the VP’s we keep hiring and focus on “running great stores”. How can we “run great stores” when these new VP’s keep soaking up all the company’s payroll??? Or, what about all the ridiculous “Project ______” programs that keep wasting resources on? Why do we need people running projects to tell us to stock cat food inside cardboard boxes???
What about Workday, nobody in HR can figure out how to use it to hire people! We keep loosing more and more employees but HR hasn’t hired anyone to replace them with! Workday is just another great example of Giant Eagle buying Magic Beans, which won’t amount to anything other than another failed attempt to “simplify” our jobs that have only made it substantially harder!
This place is such a joke anymore! Between ridiculous VP’s, unnecessary “Projects” and inability to hire people, wonder how long before we close the doors to what keeps us in business, RETAIL STORES!
I sure hope SOMEONE will read this and add to the comments, this place needs to hear us since we can’t speak up for fear of retaliation! Say all you want, but retaliation is absolutely REAL at Giant Eagle!
