Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Side splitting laughter....

Some people are just lying scum... what can I say. Apparently ADP‘s wonderful CEO is one of them.

ADP, a leading global technology company providing human capital management (HCM) solutions, has been named by FORTUNE® magazine as one of the "World's Most Admired Companies" in 2020. This marks the 14th consecutive year the company has been recognized on the annual list, which spotlights companies with consistently strong performance and reputations amid a time of dynamic change.

"We are extremely proud to see our organization once again be recognized among the most admired companies in the world," said Carlos Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of ADP. "At ADP, we are always designing for people. With the world of work changing at such a rapid pace, we are continuously innovating to provide our associates and clients the tools they need to reach their full potential. We are honored to have the opportunity to help build a better world of work for everyone."

I used to be proud, but I was young and naïve. Recently, I was advised that though I was doing a great job, my position was no longer needed. So, not so proud.
Also, "ADP" can mean many things. I once had a client CEO look me in the eye and tell me it stood for "A__holes Doing Payroll". Naturally, that was funny. So, "Always Designing for People" not only sounds weak it raises the question of designing what and for which people? Oh well, go rookies!

Let’s be honest, The typical shareholder (or client for that matter ) really has no clue what goes on at ADP. They just believe b.s statements that the company makes. If they DID know what really went on at ADP they would never invest another dime....Neither the clients for payroll services or investors to buy shares.

ADP. Always Designing for People? When I worked for this company, my colleagues and I called it "A Dysfunctional Place". This name better describes this company.

The kids can outperform the VERPs? Umm... No. No way. No way in h***. That's fantasyland thinking.

What rock did you crawl out under? Don't insult our intelligence. We all know you are on here just to trash talk. We know better. The company paid us well to leave. No more stress, and no more dealing with unprofessional kids. BTW, do you remember your security badge every day or, do you call your buddy to come let you in?

Winding down on a terrific year end and expecting another positive earnings call. ADP continues to move in the right direction! Looks like the kids can outperform the VERPS after all.

Agree with all of the posters. This is indeed rubbish. It is an embarrassment that such a company can even remotely be considered "admired". Certainly worth a laugh.

Any current or former employee could tell you that his statement is total and complete b—s—. Carlos certainly doesn’t have a clue of how anything actually works at ADP. What a joke!

How much did he pay over the last 14 years to be on the list? Tools? Innovative? Haha- my job is so manual it is scary. Technology laughable!
