I’ve heard inklings of layoffs happening, but who has the scoop? What locations and positions have been affected so far? All US and UK? All corporate or distribution branches too?

Yep, another week of this next week and I hope they are done.
Everyone needs to understand that H1B employees are NOT underpaid. Yes, that's the case in other companies. But for Cummins, they are not cheaper to hire/keep around. Cummins bases their salaries on education and experience. And if you have been paying attention, quiet a lot of H1B visa holders have been laid off as well.
I wish someone would post this Layoff.com link on LinkedIn for anyone who works or is thinking about working at Cummins can see. Also, you don't hear a lot of these types of details in the media, just that layoffs occur. Not this continuous cycle of layoffs of high performing personnel and rehiring of lower paid and H1NB visas being given out. All you hear is that Cummins is one of the best places to work, best for diversity, women, etc., etc. Their needs to be more press on how they totally disregard performance and loyalty and cut you at the whim of the market. I was a high performing diverse employee yet I was cut after many years of service.
I know most people don't want to burn any bridges (myself included), but this type of information needs to be more known so people can start boycotting this company or leaving as soon as they can. More negative press somehow. Awful place to work and I feel sorry for this next round being hit, as I know some great people are being let go just like some great ones were let go in the past. No one will send you a meeting invitation. Your direct supervisor will ask you to arrive in a meeting room, and your 2nd level manager & HR will wait there. They will announce the decision (5 minutes), then let you leave the company in one hour (no matter you worked 6 months or 30 years). You will receive a lot of documents in a week. You must sign within 2 to 3 weeks, then your paycheck will arrive as if you are still working.
How does it happen? I mean does the HR send you a meeting invite? Is your manager in the room as well?
Or do they just ambush you at the water cooler.
In RMEP/RMTC, North Carolina, we have had about 6 exempts laid off. One of them is a Community Relations Director. Other exempts are spread across PE, Quality, Ops, and Manufacturing Engineering. Apparently as worse as 2015. This is in addition to about 18 who took retirement package last year.

Anyone know what senior level & executives were shown the door? I ask because I haven't see many, if any, suffer the same fate in recent rifs.
A lot of activity in Columbus. SEVERAL cuts. We can only hope it will all be over this week.

I was let go Tuesday at CTC.
My friends and acquaintances from CTC, COM, IRWIN, IOB, CEP, COB have been affected this week. Many more expected from what I hear. Meeting rooms at most locations have been booked mainly until 31st.
It’s been horrendous to be around in this week.
I was ranked a 3 in 2018 and don’t think my boss is that impressed with me in 2019. Should I expect to be laid off?
Anyone knows when is it going to happen at CTC’s(Columbus)?And what is a lay-off look like? Do you get email notified on the same day first thing in the morning?
the layoff is going to happen from Jan 27th -29th in Shoreview, MN, USA and Fridley, MN, USA for PSBU.
COM / CEP / IOB were M-T-W-T this week. Some Director level and Senior management down.
Started at CTC as well. Heard will be ongoing for these 2 weeks.
Please post details and location. All impacted people walk with your head held high, this is Cummins fault not yours. I am pretty sure, employees that do not get impacted will probably leave after collecting their bonuses.
