Make sure you document that your employment ended due to a business relocation. GE might say you “quit” but the State Employment does not consider that a “quit”, and you can at least draw unemployment compensation while looking for another job. Went thru the same sh– with another “General” years ago.
If you want to have some fun on the way out, just keep showing up to the office until they lock the doors. Then they’ll have to “terminate” you.
except the execs will get relo and huge bonuses out of this
How is this acceptable?
From what I understand, Commercial Ops is also included. No relocation package, no cost-of-living adjustment. Chicago has an extremely high cost of living, so if you make the move to keep your job, after spending thousands on the relocation, you'll also enjoy much less money in your pocket every month. What a deal!
