There has been rumors circulating regarding another event for this year. Normally when they have these special events where they are spending millions of $’s there are big changes with our brand which happened last year which we have changed our platform drastically. Wonder if this is true or not. Has anyone else heard of this?

I wonder how Sycamore will feel about Canada blowing its money on a sales conference...heads will roll if sales aren’t up.
Canada has a conference on right now. Will be interesting to see how many people are still here after the bonus is paid out.

I remember seeing a couple past posts that described the "ongoings" of certain behaviors at headquarters, nothing in detail but definitely not how professional adults should be acting. Seems they were deleted quickly.

I recall seeing a post recently, on this same thread a week or so ago regarding the conference last year and how a "higher up" on stage made a statement saying that "they were going to move more women into higher roles", s-xism toward men, showing favoritism and promoting individuals who weren't qualified over more qualified individuals, and a few other points that not only seemed to be true but were very all true. Someone even replied speaking about an individual in the Canadian offices not hitting their quota numbers and that Staples has to fill their quota in hiring females into higher roles regardless of their qualifications. What happened to those comments and posts!?!? Looks as though they were taken down purposely to cover that up and not be held accountable. Figures!

Maybe they can't afford to p*ss through millions this year because they're running out of people to layoff to offset the costs.

Canada had a massive sales conference planned. Not sure how many millions would be spent on bringing sales people together after such a dismal year of missing targets - unless you were looking to fire a lot all at once?
