You don’t have to. Most states have a window during the year where you can contact payroll to have them removed from your check! It’s your money so keep it!!!!! Ask your local steward for the dates that you can apply.

This I am sure is coming from ex COMM techs in FL who can't even run a jumper in the CO. Yet they sit there all day and gossip through email and b–ch about everything and pass the troubles on to the next shift and let the poor customer sit there without service for hours and managment does nothing about accountability!! Its no wonder we are losing customers at an alarming rate, there is no accountability any more. So go ahead SCAB Comm Techs don't pay your dues and DON'T reap the benefits either from the IBEW.

The company could care less either way as evidenced by the last six months. Paying union dues at this point is akin to lighting your money on fire.

I am flat out warning anyone who is considering to stop paying union dues. Don’t do it! The Union will NOT represent you if you ever under investigation. The Union will NOT tolerate scabs, which is essentially what you are if you do this. Keep IBEW strong and keep paying your union dues.

You can stop paying dues anytime in Florida. Florida is a right to work state and a lawyer told me you can remove dues at any time.

What dates can FL workers make the request? I’m sick of paying IBEW. We don’t even have a contract which means no raise in over six months. If the do nothing union can’t give me an increase I will increase my take home pay by not paying them!
Only a fool would drop out if the union. IBEW is responsible for the high wages in Florida. Majority of the people at Frontier in Florida would be working in the fast food industry making minimum wage if it wasn’t for IBEW. Good luck getting our help if you stop paying union dues.
