Digital getting hit with layoffs this quarter in Van Buren (Detroit hub).
Real - given the IT leadership meeting output from both Boston and Miami, shared services IT and shared services Digital are in for significant reductions. Its just the cycle. As stated in other threads, if you were an off the street hire in the last 10 years or so (meaning not accessed through any leadership program), expect to just be fired - no layoff, no severance - that is the playbook HR is using and I've witnessed it 3 times with former colleagues.
The positive side is people impacted will be fine - the job market is very good and the GE experience is valued.
The good times are over folks.
