The relocation to Chicago was just confirmed for the USCAN Marketing team. It affects all ~100 USCAN marketers in the US. No relocation package, no salary adjustment. Yes or no decision required by 2/28. If yes, you have until 9/1 to begin working in Chicago at least 4 days a week. If no, you have until 9/1 to look for another job internally or externally.

How many people are in Commercial Ops?
RIFs have become part of the GE culture. If you think you are immune, think again. It's only a matter of time...
Marketing wasn’t the only team affected. Commercial ops also included.
Clearly, the problem with the business has been the marketing team and not arrogant engineering teams that don't listen, the decimation of the experienced sales team through years of under compensation and poor territory alignments, the absurd most favored nation terms that mean that about half the business is done at a loss or near a loss.
No, clearly it's the Milwaukee marketing team that's the WHOLE problem, and moving those jobs to Chicago and competing with FANG for talent even more aggressively is going to magically fix it.
Clearly.
There are no words for the idiocy and the expense of this shortsighted decision.
Perhaps that's all the reductions we will see in 2020.
OUCH
