Here are some comments from Glassdoor - there are some good ones as well, but this is mostly "Cons" and things to improve.
Overall, the company is OK but can improve a lot. Here it goes:
- There is a lot on the shoulders of the SSRs which makes me wonder if it's worth it. Examples: AR problems, customer complaints, renewing contracts, constant sales attempts, physically demanding, truck not properly loaded with the required product, maintenance of the fleet, you have to write your own review, etc.
- The company has a terrible management. Employees are overworked and grossly underpaid for what they have to do. The pay increases are the absolute minimum of 2%, which has already been added to an insufficient starting salary. This is by far the worst job I have ever had and I am so glad I left. I was so miserable and depressed during my work here. It is a soul-s—ing place that you only realize after a few months.
- Salary based on performance can sometimes be less than what you work for. You can become overwhelmed by the feeling that you "do a lot for a bit".
- Extreme micro management. You must constantly stay ahead of your number of weeks in weeks and weeks to the point that if you have a downweek, your entire work ethic is questioned (regardless of where you are in your quarterly or annual figure). Prices are extremely high compared to competitors. The management expects everyone to drink the Kool Aid endlessly.
- Be prepared to drive 60K miles per year. Your territory can bring you money or knock you down. You only stay "green" with your sales numbers if you are selling large target accounts. Customers are constantly trying to stop due to insane price increases. If you are a large company, you benefit from it! Route drivers can and will add things to your bill without you ever knowing! I have seen tons of people paying $ 50 for 12 small rolls of toilet paper! Book price is $ 16 when you start. They call it fair prices, but it is by far the most greedy thing I have ever seen. One of my hotels received an increase in their bill from $ 200 a week to $ 365 a week! No extra services added, only a price increase! It happens every year.
- No room for salary, everything comes from the top and it seems that they don't care about lower management
- Relax the dress code policy a bit to make employees / partners more comfortable. Offer more one to one with managers to be able to discuss everything, whether it is work or not. Offer help if you can see that a partner may be severely depressed.
- The people who pound the streets every day know what is happening at the market. Leadership tends to reject ideas and thoughts that would make the company better.
- Constant daily pressure and constant competitions to produce numbers. Only the top 10% can possibly be promoted.
- Location 201 Decatur is the whole problem .. Management is worthless. No communication and they don't care about partners
- They don't care about the internal sales department that drives sales for the company, they lure and switch when it comes to salary potential and how much commission you can make. The starting wage is worthless and no matter how much you do in a month, your commission will never be what it should be! they give you 0.06% of whatever you do.
