I mean, I found another job in literally 3 days.
wonder how many will leave after the layoff?
lol
Had a look at the room bookings per the other comments, lots of HR room bookings all day across various days next week. Pretty much all floors in COMMS and CEP have HR bookings.
Tuesday & Wed look like being eventful days.
The only ones that really know are HR. This company us run by the HR department so other leadership can do, “other things”.
I have a question for the ones that know. I know of a few exempt bosses that have been given more responsibility after certain personnel took the retirement plan in November and December. Is it possible that these same individuals could get RIF'd even though they just got assigned more responsibility? Is it where their bosses don't know who are going to get got and so just went ahead like nothing is going to happen?
This informaton about CTC and other southern Indiana places is crazy but it makes sense.
Per 6thRodeo's comment look for all-day conference room reservations by HR at your location to know when it's going down... looks like Columbus, IN will be Jan 20-31... best of luck to everyone and try not to take it personal if you get RIF'd... anybody below Executive Director level at Cummins qualifies as a sacrificial lamb... just like them gangsters said in the movie Good Fellas right after whackin' someone, "It's just business"
CTC is Cummins Technical Center it is located in Columbus IN. It will NOT be shut down. The person is posting that they are going to do the cuts this week.
Cummins Tech Center. Timing seems about right.. WARN Act requires employers to give employees a 60 calendar day notice - CMI went public on 11/26 so the soonest they can have mass layoffs is 1/24 - and they probably will abide by that timeline.
can someone explain what CTC is please?
Finish?? As in closing down?
Looks like Shoreview, MN will be Jan 27, 28, 29 per conference room bookings.
CTC?
Heard it started in downtown buildings as well. COB, COM, IOB, IRWIN, SEARS. Everything likely to be finished by the end of January before earnings call in the first week of February.
This is just sad.
