Everybody keeps saying that layoffs are done for now, but I still feel like we are nowhere done and they'll surprise us with another round before this week is done. Which means that my stress levels are not going down, but increasing.
Does everybody feel like this or am I just being paranoid?

There may be more layoffs, to know when those are coming up, just follow the rumor mill. The people who get laid off was pre-determined by middle management last year, so whatever you do now will probably not alter who gets laid off in the next round. You should know if you are being laid off if you find you are not being invited to meetings, left out of important emails, and your manager doesn’t seem to have any input on your projects. Good luck.

Relax? VH doesn't allow that. It is called Sense of Urgency, get it?. With fewer people left now trying to cover for folks laid-off it is now hunger game jungle time. Fight for survivor of the fittest. Unless you are part of the multilayers of middle management or your dad, mom works here.
Knowing the facts about Oxy and the bigoted persecution you people level at certain other people with entitlement I wouldn't ever relax. Losing your job the worst thing?? Id be looking over my shoulder every minute of the day.
In this business it is hard to ever relax and we have a few years coming up and paying down debt. All you can really do is put your head down and out work your co-workers. That sometimes does not help, but it can’t hurt. If you find something better out there then go for it. The days of loyalty are over in both directions and we are all basically contractors with benefits. If you have a skill to sell take it to the highest bidder. It is all up to the individual to take care of themselves and families. Good luck to all.
CoC coverage for Anadarko legacy expires in August of 2022. If you're saying we have to wait that long, then it will tear this company apart. I hope we've moved on long before then. If any APC folks last that long, then they really will be Oxy employees by then.
Off the top of my head, WES, GOM and all the African assets are still hanging in the balance. It’s far from over. Expect a mass exodus after bonus payouts in March and after CoC coverage expires, OXY is going to drop the hammer on Anadarko legacy.
