They sent us an email saying this wasnt going to effect us and then they were having closed door meetings with all the full time employees who just went straight home afterwards. A few days later they announced a "partnership" with Accenture. Then a few more days later they gave the full time employees their 1 on 1 meetings, again, closed door, announcing their end dates in March and their 10 weeks severance for the majority of full time individuals. A week after the FTEs were told their doom the contractees were told of their end on February 29th as well with little to no severance and possible minor raises to "make up" for the inconvenience. This also included canceling the next 2 and currently training classes that were planned to be on boarded. The entire Wendy's restaurant technology support center has been canceled down to management. Corporate offered a few current managers new positions in other departments but they declined because this is enough betrayal as is. Fresh never outsourced jobs, that's the Wendy's way! I feel even worse for the stores as they will have to now deal with barely English speaking support teams putting the already behind company even more behind. It is sad, but they did cut corners here, and employees. Dave Thomas would be rolling in his grave.
