I feel betrayed

I'm sure I'm not the only one. With its latest move Wendy's went against everything it's supposed to stand for. And for what??? Do they really think getting rid of nearly the entire IT department will save money in the long run?

Nope. I'm guaranteeing you that while this might save some money for them right now, it will end up costing the company much more than it saves in the long run.

Shame on Wendy's!

I would like to bring something to light. https://www.henricodolfing.com/2019/10/case-study-hertz-accenture-website.html After news broke about Wendy' digital transformation, and with the layoff of many seasoned Wendy's employees, is now a recipe for disaster. Total immersion of Accenture in the restaurant platform, put's the consulting Compamy at a disadvantage. If this does turn out to be another Hertz debacle, Wendy's will lose on two fronts, not being able to deliver quality performance due to inadequate communications from offshore partnerships, and the loss of moral integrity from the people that the franchises and corporate stores have relied on for years.

As with anything new, the digital implementation should have been done in smaller stages. I think Todd Penagor needs to rethink his strategy. He risks damaging a brand that many have identified with for so many years, and with loyalty these days that can be very hard to regain.

I had some friends that work there. They make a nice profit. Getting ready the technology department is not a way to save money menu Innovations and better quality food is the way to save money. I worked in the technology department of another food chain where Wendy's is located most of the staff came over to that food chain and left Wendy's. So they sent an email out to every body who was a former manager at the new company and said we're going to sue you if you don't keep your hands off our employees. They did this last year. Why go through all that trouble just to turn around and get rid of everybody. I know one thing I'm done being a customer there. In this region you have Bob Evans , Chipotle, Philly steak sandwich and I think another restaurant technology company. So hopefully those people will get jobs there. Like you said shame when Wendy's.
