PTO for 2020?

What's going to happen with PTO for 2020?

We are less than 2 weeks away from the end of the year. Are they going to make an announcement during the holidays? If we get to January with no announcement does that mean legacy Oxy keeps their plan and legacy APC keeps their legacy plan?

Maybe you were one of the ones who abused sick time. It does make sense and it’s a great program. Out rolled out a pretty good program for the combined organization.

It isn’t right to roll all types of leave, sick, vacation etc all into one. Am feeling Ripped Off by the new PTO.

Policy needed to change because of the merger of two large companies with very different policies. I am not upset at the new policy. I ended up with slightly less hours than I had with legacy apc but it’s not a big deal overall. Pretty good policy. I am happy Oxy is following through on commitments.

I am not sure the Oxy folks came out as well as one might think. In he past we could carryover 296 hours, or around that. It was good to have in case of health or needing more time off for things. We might of picked up a week extra on vacation, but most likely now all sick time, kids stuff, dental and medical appointments will have to be tracked by the hour. As it is you could be sick a few days and times a year without it costing you PTO. All in all it is still a very nice policy, but I am not sold that it was any better than what we had before. As it stands I have 240 hours on the books now and it feels good to know I have that cushion. I am happy to get what I get before and after because I am very lucky as far as PTO goes. To me I just did not see why Oxy needed to change a good policy that was in place.
