No union can tell any company how to run their business. As long as your still a full time employee with same pay & benefits, there is not much the union can do. Just to be clear this was a temporary project with the expectation that everyone would eventually return back to the field. The vacation is over guys, good luck with those routes cause your all in for a rude awakening. Not many guys are left.
What fact the fact that these fiber pullers were lucky they came back to the field an not given the boot. We r not union in suffolk. Thats fact.
No one spent 17 billions dollars you don't know how the system works , rich ppl don't invest there money... these is why cablevisio was great , because they old man sacrificed and worked hard to get cablevision to what it was , these new owner is just a big clown and and a very good mathematician, but please do your research before you sound ignorant. Facts matter
Not true. Contractors cant afford 5 thousand dollars worth of fiber tools per tech
Just a matter of time before field service is 100% contracted out too .
Yeah they said here are coax tools an a van . Welcome back to field service. An the union could not say a thing. Altices contractors finishing fiber running splicing an testing from here on out. Long island areas . Thats all thats been said
just to clarify, Fiber project is NOT "shut down", they just removed all in-house techs from it.
- is this correct?
- has management communicate anything to you guys about this? and why?
All techs have been given trucks an meters with routes today. Fiber pullers welcome back. Guess you guys were not the future after all. Now your just all back of the bus like us.
Nope . Entire island shut down. Excel contractors finishing everything.
