If you believe they care about their employees you must also believe in Santa Claus, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy.

The company is only driven by greed. Employees are nothing but an expense that needs to be reduced.
Wasn't that 100 year celebration at Northbelt great! All the food trucks and free food with one drink. I will always cherish the book and cookie I got. We even got to hear our fearless leader predict the future. Man, it almost brings a tear to my eye.
Ha hahaha! Good one! They proved in the '15/'16 layoffs that they didn't give a rip about anyone but management as they laid off droves of their best and most experienced people. You are nothing but a unit of labor to them. Get that through your head.
Well let's see, there was an employee who passed away in Pumps this year at DMC, and the pgl nor his manager could be bothered to go pay their respects. Let's just say since Alan took over for Chuck, pumps has went to $hit. He's not half the boss nor the man Chuck was.
Halliburton will say that employees are the driving force of the company, but it's really just a slogan with no meat behind it. For example employees in Bakerfield brought suit against the company and won. The back room conversations was if they could be converted to contractors or if the business unit was needed. Another instance there was an employee group that had been paid incorrectly. Rather that do the right thing and make them whole, as it was suggested, they changed the pay plan so that going forward they were paid correctly. A new policy was recently introduced permitting flexible work times for employees, and my boss made sure that everyone know it would only be approved.
Near term retirees have been freshly cut bait on the top of Halliburton HR hitlist for years. There are a few that seem to be safe but as for your everyday dedicated 30+ year employee, your time is limited. Other companies give those long terms a buyout option worth taking. Just my take.
You're an SAP #
It's unfortunate, but we are all numbers in the system and expense to be reviewed. Been talking to coworkers affected like me, hard to hear about near-term retirees getting impacted after all of our dedication.
Haha. Care? You’re joking, right?
I’m an older person, been in the workforce going on 4 decades now , and as a whole most companies only care on your positive output to their bottom line. It’s a business , aimed to make a profit. Halliburton , like other larger companies , will tell you propaganda , to keep you directed to their needs. But at the end of the day, we are still minnows in a bait shop, and they think it’s an endless supply of workers.
They care about shareholders, the owners, of this publicly traded corporation.
This is a business, not charity.
Like with any company, some managers do care and some don't.
Nope.
They don't give a SH!T about their employees. Employees are just debt to the bottom line. Why do you think the vacation time for next year will be prorated instead of given to you lump sum at the beginning of the year.
