I'm getting really tired of all the uncertainty and stress that comes with it. Why not have all the layoffs at once? Why keep us waiting, thinking there could be more coming at any time? What's the point?

I am a retired executive.... I can tell you Rodney and others in top executives could care less about the employees of the company. I was in meetings and heard first hand how they did not feel bad about layoffs. Don Becker is probably rollIng over in his grave right now. The only unlit executive was Susanna Madlinger and they ran her out of GO. That’s a shame she was the best executive that I and countless others say we have ever worked for. Senior executives dont care. Find a new job
Put money away while you look for a better company to work for - It doesn't matter what happens next - with this company and it's current leadership there is no level of job security there will always be a next time.. They can't do it all at once (Lay everyone off) - it has to look like they are making changes for the good, not falling apart as a company for share holders/investors. Store management is going to get the bulk of the blame (like last time) even though the real issue is not enough bodies in the stores because corporate has ruined Kroger's rep for good wages, work life balance and good culture experience.. Just can't hire anyone or retain the ones that do get hired - all of that hurts the customer experience which harms the bottom line. Kroger is in a self destructive cycle of this right now. Wasting money in all the wrong places.
