They are the Boeing Spin Doctors; they are trying to let you off easy.
Drink some Boeing Blue Kool-Aid, it will all be over soon.

Hmmm, end of Tuesday and no layoffs

Even though they are wrong for the 400th time, they will find a way to spin it.

You almost wonder that with the spinning skills these posters have, they should work for the PR side of Boeing.

It has been Released to the Press
https://chicago.suntimes.com/business/2019/12/16/21024112/boeing-suspends-production-of-737-max

Boeing will suspend production of its embattled 737 Max airplanes
beginning in January.

The Chicago-based aircraft maker announced Monday
it had about 400 airplanes in storage while the company awaits regulatory
approval for the planes to return to the skies.

“We have decided to prioritize the delivery of stored aircraft and temporarily
suspend production on the 737 program,” the company said in a statement
after markets closed.

“We believe this decision is least disruptive to maintaining long-term
production system and supply chain health.”

The company said it expected affected employees will continue work
related to the 737 airplanes or be temporarily assigned to other teams.

Look at the Resume for all of the board members, my mistake Read / Study…
Of all the board members Muilenburg is the best qualified for this aviation industry
I’ve said it before; Dennis Muilenburg is not The King of Boeing.
He Does Not Operate In A Vacuum…
As the most qualified and with an aviation background, he is the most likely to be
The Scapegoat for the most powerful and most connected of the Boeing Board.
You know the Darlings of Wall Street.
Am I Angry, {Yes} Because;

  1. MCAS should have never been.
  2. The entire Max Mess was mishandled
  3. Is all of this, Dennis Muilenburg Fault?
  4. Think about it, what will the lawyers Let Him Say.
  5. The Board pushed him out onto the Plank he is their Front Man.
  6. The 737 Max was Not a Dennis Muilenburg Creation, Read / Study the History.
  7. Would any of us, would any of you, like to be in his shoes. I bet not; Not Me

Of course management would say that. If you don't apply, they don't have to pay.

I was told by management that we don’t get unemployment during a furlough. Thank you for giving me some hope during this time.

Lay-offs but more likely furlough coming by the end of today. Hope it’s not furlough because we don’t get unemployment on furlough.

I realize many believe the CEO should go. I also agree that we are here due to the decisions he made and is responsible for the plight.

However, he is also the reason you all have jobs now because he has refused to drop the hammer and cut engineering jobs or stop the 37 line. He is the one that is keeping money flowing in your pockets. We can argue if this is the best thing the company, but the fact remains...none of you have found (or probably even looked for) other employment. So therefore, you depend on Boeing to put food on the table and they continue to do so. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Have any of you been through something like this before, do you read news? Here is how a new CEO plays out...new guy comes in and cleans house...not just management. They look at bottom line numbers and lay people off indiscriminately. They give a percentage and say "it will be done"

Let it play out. My guess is that we have a new CEO within 4 months of certification. That does not change the fact that a new CEO will cut the workforce drastically (and not change schedules - do more with less), buying puts it off a little while.

Have a good winter break.

They need to start with the CEO. Why don't these people ever get held accountable?

You’ll need 15 years seniority or you will selling your truck.

I haven’t been here long, but ive read probably 30 “layoffs coming Monday” posts in the last year. I’ve watched the days roll by and no layoffs. I do understand things are looking bleak, but to try and quantify a specific date that layoffs will happen is just dumb.

It’s never a bad idea to polish up your resume, but honestly most of the posts on here are complete and utter bull
