Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Regarding the "stored" locos...

Like everything else with UP, it's pure numbers manipulation.

They are being "stored dead" in consists on trains, and when a unit fails enroute they put the "stored dead" unit online and then place the failing unit in "stored dead" status thus maintaining their required goal numbers of "stored dead" units....

With the heavier trains, lack of power available, and near zero maintenance we ARE seeing more units fail enroute, I'm talking blown motors...so before too long they'll have plenty of real deal dead stuff to store.

"ATR" units get released from shop status and literally just sit in huge strings and idle 24/7 until they dont start back up and dump their water and k–l the batts

They don’t have a plan in place when the whole thing finally goes up in smoke and they finally have to repair all the broken down locomotives so this epiphany of more pencil whipping data is right up the crystal palaces ally to keep the smoke and mirrors until it’s time to bail. So tie in to massive overtime and hiring of people just to try to recover from the genius of PSR if the company doesn’t fail before the next poor sap has to save the ship.

You can only run for so long before no maintenance catches up with you...

Most of the store dead aka ATR (At The Ready) units are pencil whipped with the main mechanical failure issues are deleted or defered. On top of that the ATR units have been robbed of its parts to fix other units. "ATR" units are just a million dollar paper weights.

Lance, Vena, Mark Smith, Givens, they don't give a phuk. Their golden PARACHUTE is about to deploy and the clean up will be huge and take years to even recover
