It is an added provision to the CCPA. This new provision enables residents of California to ask for what data we have on them and request it be deleted.
System was required to be in place by 2020 and it is, so standups were scheduled because they anticipate higher volume because of it.

The meetings are about a new provision to the already existing regulations that doesn't happen until Jan 2020. Rules are already in place at Alliance for the already existing regulations.

The ccpa has been effective since 2018 and they are just now advising their employees they've been breaking regulations for 2 years
