Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Save jobs. Call State/Fed Representatives to stop Medicare Advantage

If companies are going to outsource the jobs to Ireland, India and the Philippines and get a tax break and take people's accrued bonus and lay US Citizens off, then maybe congress should stop Medicare Advantage Plans and save American jobs. I'd guess the US Medicare program doesn't outsource and get tax breaks in Ireland. Post here which representative you call. In Minnesota, Amy's office says she's not had any calls so far and was unaware of UHG/Optum layoffs! Get your voice heard!

They hired a tester from India as data engineer in MN office , in reality he is doing testing . This is big FRAUD. They hired him just days after massive layoff.

Ok then....lets ask everyone impacted by the layoffs to call Sanders or Warren's office and post here the response! Also, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call someone on the Republican side, to be non-partisan, like Kevin McCarthy or Liz Cheney!

Your better off sending to liz warren or Sanders offices. May get some notice. The Minnesota reps will side with the local employer and klocubar is with the insurers.

People affected should still call their representative and not be scared off.

The prior post must be from HR.

Have you saw the executive comp and revenue numbers? No, someone has to do the work. There would be a more even distribution of wealth within the company and more fairness within the company if jobs didn't go overseas.

Why would more have lost their jobs if jobs weren't put overseas? No, more likely the Executives wouldn't be given this level of salary and benefits!

You are forgetting, without those irish tax breaks many more would have lost their jobs already. Those jobs are being moved to India and the Philipines for no tax benefit...purely for savings on wages.

Amy likely has taken “campaign contributions” from UHG’s PAC and probably from individual executives and their families. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
